Why My Work Is Worth Pursuing
Predictive Consequences of Field Synchronization Theory: A Unified Framework for Physics, Consciousness, and Cosmos
Author: Jim Redgewell
Introduction
This paper is a call for engagement. At the age of 76, I am acutely aware that time is limited. My work on field synchronization, inertia, vacuum memory, and a field-based reinterpretation of physics has reached a stage where it generates a wide range of consistent, testable predictions. I believe these ideas offer a path toward unification in physics, a deeper understanding of consciousness, and a reimagining of reality itself.
However, to move forward, this work needs others to take it seriously, test it, and carry it further. I am ready to share my private notes and unpublished insights with those who demonstrate genuine commitment. My collection of published articles can be found at: https://jredgewell.blogspot.com/p/articles.html.
What follows is a concise summary of the ideas and predictions that emerge from my theory. I hope it will inspire others to pick up where I must one day leave off.
1. Particle Physics and Quantum Field Theory
-
Inertia and Mass Origin: Inertia arises from the time delay required for internal field synchronization in response to external force.
-
Electron's Anomalous Magnetic Moment: A product of vacuum phase memory and delayed field alignment, offering an alternative to standard QED renormalization.
-
Spin and 720-Degree Symmetry: Explained as full phase restoration within interacting field loops.
-
Fermion-Boson Distinction: Fermions propagate in time (internal field oscillators), while bosons propagate in space (coherence restorer particles).
-
Entanglement: Arises from long-range phase synchronization between particles mediated by a coherent vacuum field.
2. Relativity and Gravity
-
Time Dilation and Length Contraction: Result from phase misalignment due to velocity through the field medium, not geometric warping.
-
Gravitational Time Dilation: A delay in synchronization rate between the particle and the field as potential increases.
-
Gravity as Energy Transfer: A dynamic field coordinating the phase coherence of matter across spacetime, not just curvature.
-
Unification of GR and QFT: Both emerge from a common basis: field behavior over time with synchronization dynamics.
-
Tired Light and Redshift: Interpreted as phase-energy loss from long-range field synchronization, not cosmic expansion or dark energy.
3. Electromagnetism and Circuits
-
Electric Current: Viewed as movement of charge bosons—field-based carriers—not electron drift.
-
Capacitors and Inductors: Reframed as phase-delaying and phase-restoring field devices.
-
Resistors: Coherence disruptors that scatter field-aligned energy into incoherent thermal motion.
-
Poynting Vector Interpretation: A true expression of phase-guided energy flow, not just a cross product.
-
Wireless Power (Tesla): Wires act as phase guides; wireless power is possible but with greater loss due to phase dispersion.
4. Biology and Mind
-
Biological Communication: Trees, bacteria, and neural systems may use field phase to share information over distance.
-
Telepathy-like Effects: Possible outcomes of complex field synchronization between minds or systems.
-
Observer-Influence on Experiments: The hypothesis that mental field phase alignment may affect outcomes merits rigorous testing.
5. Cosmology
-
Dark Matter: Reinterpreted as effects of field phase lag and distributed synchronization fields.
-
Dark Energy: Explained by the energetic cost of maintaining coherence across expanding field domains.
-
CMB and Early Universe: Initial conditions reflect early field phase structure, possibly observable in anisotropies.
-
Big Bang: Seen as an emergence of global field coherence from primordial phase disorder.
-
Dimensional Emergence: Spatial and temporal dimensions arise from nested layers of field synchronization, not fundamental axioms.
6. Philosophy and Interpretation
-
Observer-Dependent Reality: Perception shaped by local field phase — relativity reframed in field terms.
-
Quantum-Classical Boundary: Emergent from the breakdown of phase coherence, not a wavefunction collapse.
-
"Why Now?" and Time: Time arises from coordinated phase rhythm; our 'now' is a moving point of coherence.
-
Spiritual and Existential Implications: A field-based reality invites reinterpretation of consciousness, unity, and the physical meaning of life.
Conclusion
Field Synchronization Theory offers a predictive, intuitive, and unifying foundation for reinterpreting the physical universe. From particles and forces to time, life, and consciousness, its core principles allow known phenomena to be re-expressed as field dynamics with measurable, testable implications. Future work will formalize the mathematics of synchronization, simulate key effects, and propose experiments to test the field-based predictions outlined in this paper.
