I’ve made so many mistakes in my lifetime

I make a thousand mistakes everyday

But the digest mistake that I ever made

Has taken my happiness away

I never asked you to marry me and now you’re wearing his ring

That ring on your finger, has made a circle around my life

I've lost the girl I love so much and wanted for my wife

Wedding ring, oh wedding ring, you bring joy to many girls

But you’ve made me a lonely thing

I've lost the girl with lovely golden curls

A ring of pretty roses, a ring for pretty girls

But now I am a sad and lonely thing
