LOVE
You tell me that you love me, but how can I be sure?
That you’re not like the other ones, the ones I’ve had before
So many broken promises, I’ve had to overcome
And now you want me to believe, that you’re my number one
When, love is just a word, a word that has no meaning
Love is just a word, unless you like day dreaming
A broken heart can cause much pain
It’s happened to me, again and again
Love is just a word, love is just a word
But this word hurts more than sticks and stones
It breaks your heart and not your bones
I only wish that love had left me on my own
Love is just a word
For a thousand years, we’ve used these words
Yet still we don’t complain
For we long to hear them, again and again and again
The most wonderful thing in life, is when these words are true
Of course by now you’ll realise
That these words are "I love you"
But, love is just a word, a word that has no meaning
Love is just a word, unless you like day dreaming
A broken heart can cause much pain
It’s happened to me, again and again
Love is just a word, love is just a word
But this word hurts more than sticks and stones
It breaks your heart and not your bones
I only wish that love had left me on my own
Love is just a word
