While driving home on Saturday, I ran into a tree
'Cause a dog had strayed on to the road, and ran in front of me
The car is now a right off, but there’s a much worse tragedy
'Cause the one and only girl I love, was sitting next to me

They say that dog is mans best friend, with this I disagree
So please keep your dog upon its lead and far away from me
There's a proper place for animals, if you read the Highway Code
So keep your dogs and pets at home and not upon the road

But a dog that strays onto the road, may kill somebody dead
